Lapland Featured on Eurobound Package

Eurobound Features Lapland on 7-Night Nordic Package

Outdoor Adventure, Visits to Helsinki, Stockholm

Adventurous travelers can experience Lapland and two of Scandinavia’s hottest capitals—Helsinki and Stockholm—on Eurobound’s latest vacation package. The 7-night land-only package features three nights in Lapland, and two each in Helsinki and Stockholm.

Log Chalets or Glass Igloos

Highlighting the package is a three-night stay at Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort, set in Finnish Lapland.  Here, clients can choose from a variety of accommodations including log chalets, large, homey glass igloos with toilet, or –for the hearty— snow igloos.

Meals are served in the resort’s log dining room, and, after a day of activities,  guests can refresh in Kakslauttanen’s sauna.  “Contrary to what people may think, average temperatures in Lapland are relatively temperate,” says Eurobound President Brigitte Armand, adding that July averages 63⁰, while February—the coldest month– averages 14⁰.

Activities Abound

Eurobound clients can choose up to 4 pre-booked activities at Kakslauttanen.  Depending on the time of year, activities range from gold panning to cross country skiing, canoeing and white water rafting to downhill skiing.  Other activities include hiking, chasing the Northern Lights, taking a wildlife safari, a river or ice breaker cruise, or a day trip to Inari, home of Finland’s indigenous Sami people.

The Eurobound package includes airport transfers within Scandinavia, two nights’ luxury accommodation with breakfast in Helsinki and in Stockholm, half-day panorama city tour in Helsinki, and private half-day city tour in Stockholm.  Also included are three nights’ accommodation with breakfast and dinner at Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort, and four pre-booked activities.  Airfare is additional, with competitively-priced business-class fares available.

Package Responds to Growing Interest in Adventure Travel

“We’re finding that active and adventure-oriented travel is up, we’re seeing increased interest in Scandinavia, and time-strapped travelers are looking to experience more in a short amount of time.  In response, we created a package that provides active travelers with adventure in a lesser-known destination, and a chance to discover two Nordic capitals that are growing in popularity
