Eurobound has added adventure-oriented activities to its newest Nordic vacations, in response to growing interest from families and millennials, in outdoor pursuits for active travelers.

Norway Private Hike, Bike and Kayak: 12-Nights

Eurobound’s newest Nordic offering is a 12-night package to Norway, featuring a private, guided hike; a full-day bike and kayak trip; and private sightseeing, combined with prime hotel accommodations. The package includes the popular Oslo-to-Bergen “Norway in a Nutshell” itinerary, complemented with more extensive stays, destinations, and activities.

From leisurely paced fjord-seeing to private adventure

Travelers start with two nights in Oslo, and private sightseeing, prior to beginning the famous “Norway in a Nutshell” rail-motor coach-cruise trip to Bergen. Rather than rush through the “Nutshell” route, which winds along the Sognefjord—Norway’s largest fjord–Eurobound clients spend a leisurely four nights at scenic villages along the way.

First stop on the intermodal itinerary is Balestrand, on the north shore of the Sognefjord, for two nights, with a full-day excursion to the Fjaerland area, nestled below the Jostedalsbreen Glacier. Eurobound guests then travel via express boat to Flam, terminus for the Flam train, at the end of the Aurlandsfjord; and by ferry to Gudvangen, on the banks of the Nærøyfjord, Norway’s narrowest fjord, staying overnight at both destinations.

Hiking, biking and kayaking in Bergen and Loftus

Following the “Nutshell” itinerary, Eurobound guests spend two nights each in Bergen, Loftus, and Solstrandvegen. In Bergen, travelers enjoy a private city tour, and a full-day, guided kayaking and biking tour. Loftus, in the Hardangerfjord area, is home for the next two nights, where the Hotel Ullensvang, is base for a three-hour guided hike. The final stop is Solstrandvegen, outside Bergen, for two nights of leisure to unwind and enjoy optional spa treatments at the Solstrand Hotel & Spa before the journey home.

Per person price for the 12-night package begins at $4,985, including accommodations, private transfers, activities, sightseeing, and domestic transportation.

Iceland Adventure: 6 nights

Another package for outdoor-lovers is a 6-night Iceland Adventure, including biking, paragliding, and glacier experiences.

The itinerary features the first two nights in Reykjavik and four nights in Selfoss, on the banks of the Ölfusá river. En route from the airport to Reykjavik, Eurobound guests refresh in the Blue Lagoon, including lunch. The next day brings a 6-hour mountain bike tour, followed by a full-day’s private “Golden Circle” and snowmobiling tour, ending in Selfoss. Selfoss is then base for three private, full-day adventure tours, including Thorsmork Canyon, reachable only by 4-wheel drive vehicle; Borgarfjörður, with its glacier and lava caves, and the South Coast, complete with paragliding.

Priced from $6,985 per person, the itinerary includes accommodations, private transfers, touring and activities.

Lapland and more
