Private vineyard visits, cooking classes, local touring for discerning travelers
Eurobound has launched its “Epicurean Collection,” a series of personalized independent and small-group explorations focused on wine and food experiences.
Itineraries cover France, Italy, or Spain, and range from 4 to 10 days, depending on the package. Travelers can choose from 8 exclusive packages, each highlighting a different region.
Among Epicurean experiences are master cooking classes in Tuscany, truffle hunting in Alba, Italy; and champagne and wine tastings in Reims and the Loire Valley, France.
Each package features distinctive accommodations, private transfers, private or small group local tours, and select gourmet meals. Prices range from moderate to luxury, depending on the itinerary. Air fare is additional, with competitively-priced business class fares available.
For wine lovers: Venetian Wine Experience
A sample Epicurean Collection package is the 7-night “Venetian Wine Experience,” which concentrates on the wines of Italy’s Veneto and Alto Adige regions.
Travelers spend three nights at the Venissa Wine Resort on the island of Mazzorbo in the Venice lagoon; and two nights each at the Relais Di Arfanta in Tarzo, north of Venice, and at Hotel Bucintoro in Cortina d’Ampezzo. All land transfers are by private water taxi and car with chauffeur.
Private visits to vineyards and estates
The Venetian Wine Experience includes private visits to Ra Vigna – Europe’s highest vineyard; Maeli – gold medal winner of the 2015 Champagne and Sparkling Wine World Championship; and the Bisol Winery in the Prosecco Hills. Guided walking tours of the vineyards and estates, meetings with the wine makers or proprietors, and wine tastings provide wine enthusiasts with insight into the area’s unique viticulture.
Gastronomic highlights include a 5-course dinner in a Renaissance villa and at a Michelin-starred restaurant, a 4-course lunch and a vineyard picnic lunch.
In Venice, a guided walking tour, a private visit to a glass blowing factory on Murano, and a Venetian Lagoon cruise with lunch aboard a luxury Bragozzo sailing boat round out the experiences.
And more
Other tours in the Epicurean Collection are Loire Valley & Champagne Tour, Sensual Provence, Slow Food Tour of Puglia, Under the Tuscan Sun, Alba White Truffle Tour, The Incredible Cuisine of Spain, and Veneto and the Dolomite Mountains.
